Abstract

This proposal is to nominate a new sword holder (DAO Treasury Wallet Multi-Sig).

Voting period: 02/06/2024 —— 03/06/2024

Background

As stated in the whitepaper of DAO, new sword holder should be nominated every 6 months. And in order for better management on DAO’s Treasury, I nominate the Head of Finance Team (current myself) as a new sword holder.

Current there are 6 sword holders (guild head and founding team member), and the multi-sig is “4/6”; after the nomination, the multi-sig will become “4/7”.

Main Body

As discussed on DAO’s weekly meeting, I will nominate Head of Finance Team as new sword holder.

Being a multi-Sig for the treasury allow financial team to better monitor and run the current treasury and enrich our team of sword holders.

Note: According to the BuidlerDAO whitepaper, to become a multi-signature holder, one must have contributed to BuidlerDAO for more than 6 months. Davion, as a core contributor since the inception of BuidlerDAO, has served as the Head of the Education Guild, organizing online course creation and knowledge-sharing activities. Since the establishment of the Treasury, he has been the long-term head of the community finance team.

Financial Impact

No direct impact on finance, some indirect benefits are stated as above.

Result Measurement

The nomination is successful and Financial Team Leader become a sword holder.

Next Steps

The other sword holders agree and add Financial Team Leader’s wallet as Treasury’s multi-sig wallet.

Voting Instructions

The voting scope for this round is S2 Governor, and in accordance with the internal consensus stipulated in the whitepaper, the voting period will be at least one day. The standards for passage are:

1. Participation of 60% of the internal total number (8 people).
2. Voting approval rate > 60%.

Note: 14 people in S2 Governor, only 12 people have voting power since they don’t have any $BRP yet.
