BIP #2: Place six new build_[city] ecosystems on the app
Context:
In order to accommodate a wider footprint of participants in the build_republic ecosystem, more cities will need to show up on the map. This asset-light, digital-first approach is a pragmatic way to grow the network as a precursor to more of the IRL activations. Over time, we would like this process to be completely permissionless but until that mechanism is created, we will continue to do so manually based on the merit and initiative of the ecosystem builders who volunteer to date.
Proposal: Introduce the following build[city] ecosystems into the web application.
build_tampa: Jon Dengler (JohnnyProduce.eth) has been a long-standing member of the community and fully embodies the build_values for Tampa, Florida through his initiatives at https://www.wellbuilt.city/. Jon and the Well are exemplars for civic engagement which makes a natural fit for the ecosystem. You can read more about these initiatives here: https://twitter.com/buildcities/status/1650919935068217346?s=20
build_memphis: Sardor Umarov (mem.eth) has been working with build_cities since its inception through our joint involvement with CougarDAO. Sardor also operates the Memphis Merchant's Exchange Building which contains one of the world's largest NFT-embedded murals generating real yield for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Sardor's alignment with our mission and commitment to the city of Memphis speaks for the nomination itself. Full story here: https://twitter.com/DefiNft/status/1526968386533482496?s=20
build_rimini: Daniela Brighi (0xB65f1c5577d2Ba4c1F6deA73ef06480dfc3e0739) is one of the longest running members and supporters of build_ since it's early days. Daniela has visions for the city that extends beyond its tourism economy which experienced severe setbacks during COVID. Daniela operates beautrip.it, an experiential learning agency on Italian culture.
build_rome: Paolo (0x82f9Be60fc43CE39BbE40DF22039380935FF58c8) has been an actively recurring contributor to the core protocol at build_republic as well as to leading web3 initiatives in the city of Rome such as Urbe.Eth and ETHRome. Paolo also leads an initiative called School DAO which aims to integrate web3 education into local curriculums in and around Italy.
build_harare: Kuzivakwashe Muvezwa (kuzi.eth) has been a developer for over ten years and now runs the largest and most active developer community in Harare, Zimbabwe with Built Different (builtdifferent.foundation), an African Web3 startup community and DAO. Kuzi is a natural connector to help foster a more open and decentralized internet in Zimbabwe and Africa.
build_boston: Jim Stanczak (jimmers.eth) was nominated by another member for the build_boston city ecosystem for his active involvement in both the venture and educational verticals in Boston. Jim is also a Techstars alumni and one of the earliest core contributors at Constellation DAO, a DAO community for Techstars alumni, mentors, and staff.
