BIP 003 - Fund Bunni Growth Unit (BGU) for Q2 2025

Summary This proposal requests $61,198 USD to fund retroactively the Bunni Growth Unit (BGU) for Q2 2025 (April 1 – June 30, 2025). BGU focuses on protocol growth through a combination of business development, marketing, community management, grant acquisition, and governance participation. Over the last year, BGU has expanded Bunni’s BD pipeline, managed daily social media activity, remained active inside of our community, and driven key growth-focused communications and campaigns; BGU also continues to under promise and over deliver expanding into securing ecosystem grants and work inside of the Uniswap governance ecosystem. This proposal continues that momentum into Q2.

Background The BGU operates as the external-facing growth arm of the Bunni DAO, focused on protocol sustainability, adoption, and influence. During the past 12 months, BGU output has included:

Secured External Funding: $150,000 Areta Grant for auditing Bunni v2. (about half of the total TGU yearly budget) Multiple grant applications in queue or submitted (e.g. Optimism Season 7, Unichain Retro PGF, AF treasury deployment).

Governance & Uniswap Influence: Directly advocated for LP incentives within Uniswap governance. Remained lightly active in forums and attended their community and governance calls. Pushed for Uniswap filler integrations that align with Bunni’s long-term strategy. Engaged Uniswap delegates to help educate and shape governance discussions related to Bunni.

Business Development & Partnerships: Secured partnerships with rehypothecation partners, protocols, LPs. Hosted BD calls with major CEX platforms, protocols, funds, and LP syndicates. Built a strong pipeline of institutional LP prospects.

Marketing & Community Growth: Launched co-marketing initiatives with BD partners. Developed educational content to onboard new LPs and partners. Executed social media campaigns that drove engagement and brand awareness. Produced content around Bunni-related news. Prepared weekly contributor logs. Made weekly debriefs on TGU efforts. Attended public X Spaces events. Hosted 1-2 X Spaces events weekly. Remained active on social media with an almost daily post rate.

AI & Automation Improvements: Adopted practices to reduce operational overhead related to marketing workflows, community support and weekly updates using AI-driven tools.

Proposal We propose allocating $61,198 USD from the Bunni DAO Treasury to fund BGU operations for Q2 2025. The unit’s scope includes:

Business Development: LP onboarding, protocol partnerships, custom BD campaigns.

Marketing: Brand positioning, co-marketing, content creation, paid & organic growth.

Community Engagement: Events, education, and active Discord/BUNNI gov participation.

Grants: Working to Secure external funds to offset internal treasury usage.

Governance: Leading proposals, shaping discourse, and attending calls for Bunni interests.
