Editorial

Whereas editorial for S1 focused on the tips, tricks, and tactics that decentralized orgs used to achieve ambitious goals, S2 offers us an opportunity to experiment. We will now explore the tips, tricks, and tactics for building (or improving) cities.

Questions this season will explore How do we build climate-resilient local infrastructure? How do we build green real estate? What are good frameworks to keep in mind when evaluating pre-fab projects? How do you scale trust? Why is now the time to build a city? What is the tech stack for a decentralized city? What models for governance should we have at the neighborhood level vs. the DAO level? How do you seed a city? How do you build out a plan and then execute on it? What is import replacement theory and why does it matter?

Episodes will be thematic to a particular topic or set of topics relevant to a city-building guest’s expertise. As much as possible, we will try to learn about other city building projects, especially ones that failed, and examine them as case studies to see what we can learn and apply as Cabin.
