CIP #9 - Relabeling Multichain Warchest to Ecosystem Growth for Enhanced PancakeSwap Initiatives

Abstract

This proposal seeks to gather votes from vlCKP holders on whether Cakepie should support PancakeSwap’s proposal to relabel the Multichain Warchest allocation as "Ecosystem Growth." This reclassification would expand the use of these funds to support new initiatives like PancakeSwap v4, including a $250,000 Hooks Grant Program and a 0.05 CAKE per block emission program to incentivize adoption. The aim is to promote the growth and flexibility of PancakeSwap’s ecosystem, aligning with Cakepie’s objective to drive strategic value from its locked CAKE.

Motivation

The current Multichain Warchest, which receives approximately 0.2 CAKE per block, is restricted to supporting PancakeSwap’s cross-chain expansion. However, upcoming initiatives, such as PancakeSwap v4, would benefit from additional incentives to ensure successful adoption. Relabeling this fund allocation as "Ecosystem Growth" allows PancakeSwap to prioritize high-impact initiatives for ecosystem development, which, in turn, supports Cakepie’s locked CAKE strategy by increasing the utility and value of CAKE holdings. This proposal is an opportunity for vlCKP holders to guide Cakepie’s stance on the reallocation of these PancakeSwap funds toward broader ecosystem initiatives.
