CIP #12 - Changes to Reward Structure for mCakeSV and vlCKP in Cooldown State

Abstract

This proposal seeks to refine Cakepie's reward distribution mechanism by allocating rewards exclusively to mCakeSV and vlCKP maintained in an actively locked state. Assets in the cooldown period will no longer accrue rewards after the proposal is approved and executed. This adjustment is designed to enhance the efficiency and fairness of the reward system, reinforcing long-term commitment within Cakepie's ecosystem.

Motivation

Currently, rewards are distributed to all mCAKESV and vlCKP holders, including those whose tokens are in the cooldown phase. This dilutes the rewards available to long-term participants and reduces the incentive for sustained locking. By ensuring that only actively locked tokens accrue rewards, this proposal aims to:

• Increase the reward share for locked participants.
• Strengthen the value proposition of maintaining assets in an actively locked state.

Specification

Reward accrual will be limited to mCAKESV and vlCKP tokens that are actively locked. Tokens in the cooldown period will be excluded from receiving rewards after the proposal is approved and executed.
