Community Voting System Adjustment Proposal.

Problem to deal with:

To encourage community members to propose meaningful and practical ideas, reward good idea provider, to increae the willingness to propose more good ideas.

< Proposal i: Use Pancake Bunnies as time-extension tickets for community voting proposals >

Community voting is a place for CAKE holders to share thier idea, to communicate, and to see how others think. I think posting should be free, but we also want have selected good infos. So I raise the idea to use Bunny NFTs as a ticket for community poposal ticket. These NFTs will be burned.

The idea is based on NFTs can be used as tickets. Not too much word, just see example below

Example:

For proposals lasting <1 week, free. Only need to hold 10 CAKE at snapshot block.

For proposals between 1 and 2 weeks, 1 Bunnies NFT is collected and burned.

For proposals between 2 and 3 weeks, 2 NFTs are collected.

And so on.

Disadvantage:

There might be less community vote and this area may not be as frolic as before.

I am not sure if this use case do meets the needs, or do solve any problem, so I put this to community proposal.

Any address can offer tips to the proposer, by simply clicking some button at frontend.

The proposal with the more tips will be top-listing.

The tip function works in parallel with the existing voting system.

A contract will hold the tips temporarily. When proposal close, a share of tips CAKE will go to proposer’s address and the other share will be burned.


This function might provide very little contribution to CAKE burn. Charging a share from tip may also reduces the possibility to use multiple addresses, and maliciously deposit large amount of tips to fight for topping space.


Core team may also join in tipping if they find a really astonishing one.

(I suddenly come up with that community proposal can be used to post novels and stories for tips, will that be too much of a brainstorm o3~♪)

Example:

10-50% of the CAKE tip is burned. The rest is then shift to proposal address.

Disadvantage:

There is a risk that no one will use this feature, ending up a waste of developer’s time.

Some proposal may have great idea, but its very hard to commercialize, core team are not good at them, or not enough resources (man, technique, resource, coders…etc), need time, or be partly considered…etc.

Any proposal be listing on top might cause a bigger expectation that this proposal may be seen and realized, but such expectation may not match to what’s actually going on.

So do not put too much expectations on them, life goes on, self-learning goes on. 


< Proposal iii: Reward NFT to bid for the top space. >

Could be co-existing with Proposal 2, the bid for the top position will use NFT instead.

Regarding to Proposal 2, the reward tokens will be changed to Bunny NFT set, more tips, higher top positions, and these NFTs will be burned.

No restriction to tips, proposer may provide NFT tips for their own proposal.

I don’t really think proposal iii will work, but I just kept thinking of it, so I put it in.
