Proposal to Redirect Multichain Warchest to CAKE Burn

One year ago, PancakeSwap embarked beyond BNB Chain to further our vision of enabling the smoothest and most user-friendly DeFi journey for everyone. A key part of this was expanding across multiple chains and utilizing a Multichain Warchest to bootstrap liquidity across each deployment.

Since then, we’ve successfully expanded support to 8 chains, including: BNB Chain, Ethereum, Polygon zkEVM, zkSync Era, Arbitrum, Linea, Base, and Aptos.

Now that the initial goals of the Multichain Warchest have been accomplished and we approach ultrasound CAKE, this proposal aims to reduce CAKE emissions towards PancakeSwap’s Multichain Warchest and, instead, redirect these emissions towards CAKE burn.

Adjustment Details:

With the above in mind, we propose the following adjustments to CAKE emissions:

• Current Multichain Warchest Allocation: 0.6 CAKE per block (17,280 CAKE per day)
• Proposed Multichain Warchest Allocation: 0.2 CAKE per block (5,760 CAKE per day)
• Proposed Increase in CAKE Burn: 0.4 CAKE per block (11,520 CAKE per day)

Notably, the Multichain Warchest currently has accrued ~3M CAKE. If this proposal passes, that portion accrued thus far will be minted and directed towards the next CAKE burn.

As appropriate, we will continue to enable additional expansions to new chains and develop new products. The Kitchen believes this revised allocation will be sufficient going forward to sustain growth across any existing and new deployments. This enables PancakeSwap to achieve ultrasound CAKE at a much rapid rate.

Lastly, further farm optimizations and reductions such as our most recent Proposal for Adjustments to Farm Rewards will continue to either: directly increase the CAKE burn, or be redirected to the Multichain Warchest in anticipation of new liquidity efforts or product launches.

Ultimately the above changes will increase the overall CAKE burn, while continuing to provide the best DeFi experience.

Timeline

2️⃣ PancakeSwap reduces the emissions to the Multichain Warchest and increases the CAKE burn (if the proposal is successful)

3️⃣ PancakeSwap reports on CAKE burns and our overall progress towards achieving ultrasound CAKE
