Home burned down now homeless

Hello. First of all let me thank you up front for even bothering to check out what I have to say at all

Normally I'd never do this but I'm in a very desperate situation, and no family to turn to. Back in late November my home burned to the ground. It was my childhood home which my grandfather built, and I inherited from my mom. I've been trying to survive on my savings, but a few unforseen expenses wiped me out before I could find a place to rent for my girlfriend, myself, and our cats. We've been camping out in the woods, which has been difficult and very stressful. It's one thing to do it for a few days or maybe a week, and another to do it full time, because you've got no alternative. The last few nights have been brutally cold, and I have neuropathy. I am afraid I'm going to lose at least one foot if I don't quit living like this.

What Im asking for is maybe a little help from anyone who can afford it, as well as fund it in their hearts to do so. I know I'm a complete stranger and there's no reason to trust me that I'm being honest here. I don't know of any way to assure you of my sincerity, except by saying that on my honor I give you my word. If I've learned one thing in life it's that our honor is the only thing that is truly ours. Nobody gives it to us, and nobody can just take it. I don't take giving my word of honor lightly, and what I've said is sincere and truthful.

Any little bit will help us, and you have my eternal gratitude, as well as my girlfriend's. Just being able to rent a toom for a few nights would mean everything to us right now.
