This is just an idea i have, it involves burning cake and donating to charity. There where previous discussions where people wanted a voluntary burn and a scoreboard but this would be 10 times better.
What if pancakeswap had the option to donate to charity with BNB (will explain further on why not with cake.) each month we would have a new charity and the top 10 donators would be shown in a scoreboard type of way.
10% of the money raised will be burnt. This should be displayed like a warning message to avoid confusion.
Also it would be fun to add the chance to win an NFT if you participate, maybe like 10? this chance would be equal for everyone but the nr.1 donator would he guaranteed one. But maybe a minimum of 5$ would be good to avoid mass entry for an NFT.
Imagine if pancakeswap would join this months teamseas. Teamseas is organised by Mr.beast a youtuber with 72M subscribers. Link: https://teamseas.org/ *this is just an example and any charity with a good purpose will do.
This would be amazing publicity for pancakeswap because we could gain alot of positive recognition and draw more attention to pancakeswap. After each month pancakeswap could @ the charity on Twitter and reach out to them saying we raised X amount of money.
Now the reason why we wouldnt want to use cake but instead BNB or maybe BUSD is as follows.
Imagine if we get together 1M dollars worth of CAKE. The charity most likely would not accept crypto and then we would have to sell 1M dollars of cake in order to donate this. Even if they would accept crypto they will sell it themselves.
But if we use BNB/BUSD we would have to purchase CAKE in order for it to be burnt. Causing a positive effect instead of a massive selloff.
So in short:
Pros: We are donating for a good cause. Good publicity. More attention for PCS We burn 10% of the money raised counteracting the inflation. Chance to win an NFT when participating
Cons: Litteraly zero. There is no reason to not add this.
