Introduction:

This workshop will serve as an interactive and practical learning experience, combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on exercises to equip participants with the necessary skills to explore the potential applications of Celo blockchain technology in various domains. This event will aim to introduce students, developers, and enthusiasts to the exciting opportunities within the Celo network, with a special emphasis on Minipay and how to build with Minipay.

Furthermore, this event will focus on onboarding developers with a technical session on how to build on Celo by exploring different tools like Celo Composer, Minipay documentation and developer documentation.

Date, Time, and Location:

Date: 28th October 2023 Time: 10 am - 4 pm Location: Mbarara University(MUST)

Objectives:

Educate: Provide a comprehensive understanding of the Celo Ecosystem, its mission, and its potential impact on global financial inclusion efforts. Empower Developers: Equip developers with the knowledge and tools necessary to integrate with Minipay and utilize the Celo for creating innovative financial solutions. Foster learning and collaboration: Encourage networking, idea-sharing, and collaboration among attendees, fostering a vibrant and active community within the Celo Ecosystem.

Success Metrics:

Attendance: Aim for 50 - 60 attendees. 40+ joining the Slack channel 30+ smart contract kit downloads 40+ Valora downloads Engagement: Measure participant engagement through interactive sessions, Q&A, and workshop participation. Developer Adoption: Track the number of developers who actively engage(Target audience) Feedback: Gather participant feedback to assess the quality and impact of the event.

Budget:

Snacks: $225 Swag(Tshirts): $195 @$6.5(30 pieces) Projector & PA: $80 Total: $500
