Details:

I am Ronald Nzioki, and it brings me great enthusiasm to present a proposal for the inaugural university meetup and code jam. This event is scheduled for Saturday, October 21st, 2023, from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM (EAT) at Moi University in Kenya. ##Purpose: The primary goal of this event is to acquaint students with the landscape of Web 3 and conduct a workshop that will kickstart their journey in building on the Celo platform.

Target Audience: We aim to engage students majoring in computer science, IT, and engineering who show the potential to contribute valuably to the ecosystem as developers, designers, or founders.

Objectives:

Introduce students to decentralized computing concepts, sparking their interest in the Celo ecosystem. Facilitate hands-on workshops, providing students with practical experience. Inspire and attract developers to join our community.

##Strategy: Ice-breaking session. Introduction to Celo. Break. Hands-on Workshop.

Budget:

To ensure the success of this event, we kindly request a budget of 500 cUSD. For your reference, we have provided a detailed breakdown of the proposed budget:

Breakfast bites at $2.15 per person * 70 = $150. Lunch - $5 per plate for 70 participants = $350.

We extend an invitation to all to support this proposal by casting your favor upon it. Together, we can nurture the continuous growth of the Celo Community.
