ERC20 Token Burn and BRC-20 Token Creation with Update

Summary:

This proposal suggests burning a specific number of ERC20 tokens and creating an equivalent number of BRC-20 tokens on the Bitcoin network. The purpose of this action is to explore the potential of cross-chain token migration and leverage the unique features offered by the Bitcoin network. The decision to proceed with the token burn and creation will be determined through a community vote. Additionally, an update is made to include a token sacrifice method and timeline, as well as information about the delivery and claiming process of BRC-20 tokens. Given the imminent launch of ORDI BRC20 tokens on OKX, we are confident that the introduction of BRC20 tokens will significantly increase the visibility and attention towards our project.

Details:

1. Token Burn: The project will initiate a burn of a specific number of ERC20 tokens by collecting them in a designated address. This address will be set up to collect token sacrifices from the community. Tokens collected in this address will ultimately be sent to the contract address for burning.

2. Token Sacrifice Timeline: The token sacrifice period will be limited to 24 hours from the proposal's initiation. During this period, token holders can voluntarily send their ERC20 tokens to the designated address for burning. Any ERC20 tokens received after the deadline will be sent to the community development fund 0xe624CB69a4187216253245d0be10822994D6840D and treated as a donation for future community development initiatives.

3. BRC-20 Token Creation: Once the ERC20 tokens have been collected and burned, an equivalent number of BRC-20 tokens will be created on the Bitcoin network using the BRC-20 token standard.

4. Delivery and Claiming Process: BRC-20 tokens will not be directly delivered to individual token holders. Instead, a process for claiming the BRC-20 tokens will be established. More details regarding the claiming process, including instructions and timelines, will be shared with the community in a timely manner. It is essential for token holders to follow the provided instructions to claim their BRC-20 tokens successfully.

Community Vote: All token holders will have the opportunity to vote on this proposal through a snapshot voting mechanism. The voting period will last for 2 days, allowing ample time for community members to review the proposal and cast their votes. The voting options will be as follows:

Option A: Approve the token burn and creation of BRC-20 tokens. Option B: Reject the token burn and creation of BRC-20 tokens.

The voting results will be determined by a majority consensus. If Option A receives the majority of votes, the project team will proceed with the token burn and BRC-20 token deployment. Conversely, if Option B receives the majority of votes, the project team will refrain from executing the proposed action.

Communication: Regular updates regarding the progress of the token burn, BRC-20 token creation, and the claiming process will be provided to the community through official communication channels, including social media platforms, and project websites. Additionally, the project team will address any concerns or questions raised by the community during the migration process.

The project team will strive to ensure a smooth and secure migration, but they cannot be held responsible for any unforeseen technical issues or losses incurred during the process.

Additionally, please take into consideration that the liquidity of the BRC-20 marketplace, being in its early stages of development, may not currently provide comparable levels of liquidity to well-established platforms such as Uniswap. Token holders are advised to carefully consider this aspect when making decisions regarding the sacrifice of MELON ERC-20 tokens.
