Proposal to Limit Active Proposals to Three for the CryptoPhunks Community

Dear CryptoPhunks Community,

I am writing to propose a modification to our current proposal system. At present, there is no limit to the number of live proposals members can submit. While we greatly value the community's involvement and ideas, the sheer volume of ongoing proposals has led to some issues, including decision fatigue, lowered engagement, and diluted focus.

As a solution, I propose that we limit the number of live proposals to three at any given time. This means that if we have proposals 1, 2, and 3 currently active, a 4th proposal would not be posted until one of the current ones concludes and is moved to the archive.

The proposed changes aim to achieve several benefits:

Enhanced focus: By reducing the number of live proposals, we can concentrate on the most impactful ideas and engage in deeper discussions about their potential and implementation.

Improved quality: With a limit on live proposals, members will be more likely to refine their ideas before submission, leading to more well-thought-out proposals.

Increased engagement: By structuring the proposals in such a manner, members will have fewer proposals to review at a time, encouraging more active participation.

Reduced decision fatigue: Too many choices can overwhelm members, leading to lower participation or hasty decisions. By limiting the number of live proposals, this issue will be alleviated.

Lastly, I believe introducing a waiting list would be beneficial. It would allow us to keep track of the influx of proposals, ensuring everyone gets a fair chance to present their ideas while maintaining a manageable flow of new proposals. In conclusion, by implementing a limit for live proposals, we can improve the quality of discourse, increase participation rates, and make more effective decisions as a community.

Best regards,

0xWillie
