Prop-17 Proposal Protocol

Voting ended over 3 years agoSucceeded

This vote is to solidify the path from proposal to treasury-action and to utilize Aragon Court for dispute resolution.

Original Proposal: Phunks continue to challenge the status quo - constantly innovating and pushing boundaries. As a decentralized community Phunks share many similarities to DAO's such as it's operations and voting processes. It also shares some of the risks as well.

1 Wallet = 1 Vote

This is one of the risks prominent in token based voting systems today. Holders with large bags can distribute their phunks across wallets to manipulate the outcome of votes. There is evidence to suggest this practice has occurred on the most recent on-chain vote for PhunkyJon.

For future on-chain votes, we propose implementing a standard practice for dispute resolution using Aragon. Aragon allows for a review process after a vote has ended. In the event of a dispute (such as voter abuse), community members can submit evidence for everyone to review together. The community can then vote on an outcome based on the evidence. https://aragon.org/aragon-court

Generally speaking, the path from proposal to treasury action would look like this:

  1. Proposal
  2. Discussion
  3. Amendments
  4. Soft Vote (discord)
  5. On chain vote (snapshot.org)
  6. Dispute resolution (aragon)
  7. Treasury Action
