Abstract
The outcome of this code of conduct is members a) understand what is expected of them as a member of this community and b) have clear pathways to reporting a violation of the code.
Motivations
A Code of Conduct (CoC) serves two important purposes in a community - a communication tool, and a functional tool. A CoC clearly communicates to members (new, existing, prospective) the behaviors that are, and are not acceptable as a community member at Seed Club. It communicates the level of responsibility community members have when showing – both individually and to each other. A CoC also serves an important function for community safety - should someone violate the code, there is a pathway to report that violation and clear next steps to enforce the code.
At Seed Club, we take the safety and well being of our community members seriously. Our expectation is that while we are here, together, we have a responsibility to act with the highest level of integrity, awareness, and in true collaboration.
A code of conduct will allow for Seed Club’s health, continued collaboration, and safety for all members.
