CP_25-011: Coinage $PLYBTN Memecoin Plans

Coinage, the first community-owned Web3 media outlet to win a YouTube Silver Play Button, is celebrating with our community by fair launching $PLYBTN.

As you know, Coinage is the DAO launching the project which has locked 51% of the liquidity from the raise (which was PinkSale's largest SOL raise in 2 months) for 100 days. The other 49% of the raise (after fees) went to the Coinage DAO wallet.

That is about 690 SOL. It is now up to the Coinage DAO how we choose to shepherd this in the early stages. After our treasury proposal, we are now exploring other avenues to shepherd awareness of the $PLYBTN memecoin.

One of the other proposals  is to allocate a portion to marketing efforts as many in the Solana community are unaware of $PLYBTN's debut. Another idea is to establish support and services from a market maker who has more experience in launching these things beyond just one liquidity pool. Specifically, this proposal would allocate 10% of funds to the former, and up to 20% of funds for the latter with a 10% buffer on either and clear the board to start exploring plans to distribute $PLYBTN in those endeavors. In total, that would amount to Coinage's DAO deploying about 50% of the funds secured from the fair launch.

To be clear, we would not be doing so to bolster any public expectation of profit. And we would, as this is a forum for our members, be letting our members know of our intentions. Should this proposal not pass, we will not move forward with allocating any of the SOL raised in the fair launch toward these endeavors.
