CP_25-013: Coinage $PLYBTN Read/Watch/Own Plans

Coinage, the first community-owned Web3 media outlet to win a YouTube Silver Play Button, is celebrating with our community by fair launching $PLYBTN.

As you know, Coinage is the DAO launching the project which has locked 51% of the liquidity from the raise (which was PinkSale's largest SOL raise in more than 2 months.) After voting on initial post-fair launch plans to institute a READ/WATCH/OWN paradigm to burn tokens based on views Coinage receives, the DAO now seeks to finalize the rest of that program.

In launching this memecoin experiment, some people are flagging a few things that differ from historical norms as we broke with tradition by fair-launching the largest Solana memecoin on PinkSale in the last two months. One of those things is that Coinage did not seek to obscure how many tokens we held in the fair launch (unlike other projects which may bundle amounts in various wallets.) Despite the fact we haven't sold any of our $PLYBTN holdings, it has nonetheless spooked some traditional memecoin participants.

To that end, this proposal would:

Extend the monthly token burn we began in March through the beginning of 2026. Coinage's monthly burns of PLYBTN would be communicated publicly via this DUNE dashboard to help inform people of where tokens currently exist. Based on the formula we derived, the monthly burns should decelerate over time to a cap of 400M tokens, cumulatively. When we reach that cap depends on views per month.

In addition, this proposal would:

Codify plans we have previously expressed that Coinage has no intention of selling our PLYBTN in the short-term. People don't seem to understand this memecoin is part of an ongoing content series. As such, this proposal would confirm plans to have tokens "officially" unlock at a rate of 10% a month beginning in October 2025 as described in the same DUNE dashboard.
