Ever since the creation of the Commsaur NFT, we've wanted to find a way to display both states of a Commsaur (the full-body version, and the cropped PFP version).
Our idea came from the recent Doodles announement that allowed holders to wrap their NFTs into another.
The way that this works, is by deploying a secondary Smart Contract that can only send and receive Commsaurs and their wrapped counterparts. When the Contract receives a Commsaur, it sends back the PFP version (same id, same attributes, different image URL). This action is not permanent and can be reversed by sending the PFP version back to the contract, which will in return send the original Commsaur.
These actions will only be allowed from the official Commsaur website, and will require token approvals
As a Commsaur holder, you will have the freedom of choosing what version of your beautiful Dino you show to the world! This allows you to use Twitter's NFT Avatar system with a more suitable version of your Commsaur (the PFP version).
Commsaur holders need to be aware that by selling either version of their NFT, they will lose access to the counterpart version. If a Commsaur is locked in the Wrapping Contract, and the PFP version is sold, the only way to get the original Commsaur back is by sending the PFP version, which is no longer held by the original owner, but by the buyer (the Commsaur website will have multiple warnings, and announcements will be made at the time of deployment of the contract).
