Epoch 6 Community Council Seat Nominations

Voting ended 27 days agoSucceeded

Epoch 6 Details

What is the stakedotlink council? The Governance Council is the elected representative body that oversees the protocol and is responsible for ratifying proposals on behalf of the DAO. It is comprised of seven members:

2 Core Contributors

1 NAIL (Network Aligned Individual Liaison)

2 Community Members

2 SDL Node Operators

How are community members elected to the Council? The two community seats on the council are elected directly by the community. Any reSDL holder can vote for the candidates of their choice. Elections are held on a 6-month cycle, which is defined as an "epoch."

Role Specifications Six month epochs A week self nomination window Self nomination via epoch-5-council-nominations(this channel) Must submit reasoning for running / qualifications, public wallet (for stipend), and social channel ID’s One week election window Vote on https://snapshot.org/#/s:community.stakedotlink.eth Votes will be based on reSDL held in wallet at time of snapshot

The only strict requirement for this position is to vote on all SLURPS posted on Snapshot during epoch.

Desired behaviors: In addition to voting requirements, it is desired that the Community Seat is actively engaged with the community on the stake.link social channels throughout their duration on the stake.link council. Community Seats are allowed to author, and vote on, their own SLURPs.

Stipend: Community Seats should be compensated with “skin in the game” in order to incentivize active participation. $1,000 of SDL tokens will be paid out to Community Seats for each month served and paid in total at the end of the epoch. (USD value, quoted by the close price of SDL on CoinGecko on the first day of each month). Payments will be prorated in cases of removal or resignation.

1.Michael I self nominate. I am a current representative of the community . I would love to continue being the voice of the community. I haven’t missed any votes from the council (typically voting same day once the consensus of the community has been reached) and have set up a snapshot system to gauge the communities opinion before the council votes to ensure the representation is accurate. I love Sdl and stLINK and would enjoy to continue representing the community as we grow Stakedotlink beyond just another startup into the backbone of the financial system. Ask me anything in telegram or discord and ill be glad to answer.

2.HBoss Hello SDL holders and Sistas, I am submitting my self-nomination for the stake.link Community Representative seat.

My name is Hugo, though many of you know me as Hugo Boss on Telegram. With a professional background in accounting and finance, I am eager to leverage my technical expertise to help the DAO achieve long-term fiscal sustainability and strategic growth.

I have been a dedicated supporter of this ecosystem since the LinkPool days in 2021. I am very contious of many of the elements at stake since I’ve navigated every transition to ReSDL—from LP - LPL and StSDL. Seeing us surpass 6.6M LINK staked is a testament to this community’s resilience, and I couldn't be more proud of our progress.

My commitment to stake.link DAO is undeniable. Even after facing a significant personal exploit last year that impacted my holdings of SDL and LINK, my first priority was to re-establish another liquidity provider (LP) position from a secure wallet. I am not just a spectator; I am deeply aligned with the protocol’s success.

I am a firm believer in the power of SLURPs to drive value: Author of SLURP-13: I designed this proposal to enhance benefits for SDL holders. I consistently engage with, critique, and support proposals that align with our collective interests whether through comments or likes. I intend to explore synergies between stake.link and other projects looking for liquid staking that I’ve been involved with to drive additional value to ReSDL holders. My Pledges if Elected:

I will increase my presence across Telegram and Discord to ensure community sentiment is directly translated into council discussions. I commit to proposing a minimum of one new SLURP during my mandate, focusing on creative financial strategies and potentially a specific use-case for LPL OG NFT holders.

To further demonstrate my commitment, 100% of the stipend received for this role will be deposited into an LP position to pursue the mission of establishing a deeper, more resilient liquidity for $SDL.

The outgoing community representatives have set a high bar over the last 2.5 years. I am ready to step up, wear those "big shoes," and bring new ideas in a disciplined, analytical, and community-centric approach.

Regardless of the outcome, I am excited for the future of the DAO. Good luck to all candidates! Cheers,

3.Jesse I nominate myself. I am a huge fan of Chainlink and SDL. My skills include being understanding to others and a hard worker. I want to run for the Council seat to push SDL's vision as the driving force for innovation beyond its liquid staking aspects. I have also helped report bug and issues to certain websites and staking issues to the mods. I will contribute in promoting SDL beyond the Chainlink community. My goal is to make SDL a household name. I will be free for communication on Discord and X and Telegram. I will also dedicate time for voice chat if anyone needs assistance.

4.Ari GM dear DAO,

I’d like to nominate myself this time

The last Epoch brought important discussions around DeFi strategy, incentives, liquidity, transparency, and more recently, defense-in-depth, emergency controls.. and reSDL buybacks? Not every discussion has a perfect answer and that is exactly the point. These are the kinds of questions where the community should use its collective intelligence at the highest level

Chainlink is closer than ever to expand as key financial critical infra and staking is likely to sit near the core of its economic flows. Nobody knows exactly how that model will evolve, or how long it will take, but if stake.link is building on top of that future, we should hold ourselves to the standards it deserves

That is why professionalism, critical thinking and open debate matter. The way we discuss risk, incentives, integrations, liquidity, security and governance is how we prepare for the role this protocol will need to play

I’ll also be honest.. it has been sad to see community engagement cool down at times. Conviction can be as volatile as markets, but many of us still see that the opportunity ahead is larger than ever. I'm personally more optimistic today than I have ever been and that is exactly why I think we should keep raising the level of discussion where it matters

That doesn’t mean everything has to be serious all the time. Powerful memes matter. But powerful memes come from powerful ideas. The stronger the ideas, the stronger the culture around them

So my goal for Epoch 6 is to keep showing up, keep voting responsibly, keep contributing where I can, and keep pushing for discussions that make competence feel like the norm, to the best of my ability

Grateful for the trust the community has given me since Epoch 1. Best wishes to all frens who stepped forward.. the DAO is stronger when more voices show up

We’re all in this together

5.eRaZz Hi everyone I got involed in Stake.link a two year ago. Some of you might have discussed with me. I'm quite active on the forum/discord and also the telegram channel. I've been following Chainlink since the ico and got into the rabbit hole of LST. I have a background in finance and economics and could offer another point of view in regards of tokenomics and market dynamics.I am fairly active in discussing incentives on morpho, and trying my best get wstlink listed on aave currently.@erazz101.eth on twitter and @eRaZz on discord. However this vote goes through i'll still keep heavily invested in stake.link
