Discord Server

Hello everyone,

As you know, there are many bad actors on the market and they consistently bot Discord servers and try to hack people through direct messages.

We have been switching our Discord server to private when there is a bot attack and clearing them manually. This stops real people who are interested in the Coniun ecosystem from joining our server to ask questions as well. Or sometimes new buyers can't join the server.

We are doing it to protect our Discord members from getting hacked through a DM but since we are about to tokenize and ERA is around the corner, we probably will have lots of new people who would be interested in joining our Discord server to learn more about us.

The question is;

Option A) Should we keep the Discord server public all the time and put a disclaimer on our verification channel that says we will never DM you and you should turn your DMs off to stay safe, and stop fighting with those bots (it's impossible to ban them all without going private)

Option B) Should we keep switching to private when there is a bot attack?

TL;DR

Option B keeps the community safer. But makes it really hard for the people who are interested in Coniun to join our Discord server.

Option A lets anyone interested in Coniun join our server whenever they want but increases the risk of our community getting hacked if they don't turn their DMs off.
