Proposal Summary The inception of Contrax DAO was facilitated by a founding committee, which diversified into specialized committees following the release of the xTRAX token. This proposal aims to formalize the initial committee framework, introduce additional committees, and establish governance protocols to ensure their effective operation under the overarching supervision of the DAO.
Details The current committees within Contrax DAO are outlined below, along with their responsibilities and leadership:
• Tokenomics Committee: This committee oversees all aspects related to the xTRAX token within the boundaries of the tokenomics previously ratified by the DAO. Its responsibilities include refining the tokenomics model and orchestrating the forthcoming TRAX token airdrop. (Head: Soheeb Aziz)
• Marketing Committee: This committee manages activities related to marketing, social media engagement, and non-technical partnerships or collaborations. Head: KJ Magill)
• Finance Committee: This committee is responsible for managing the seed funding round for Contrax, including payment arrangements and budgeting for pre-funding development, growth initiatives, and seed round logistics. (Head: Soheeb Aziz)
• Engineering Committee: This committee is tasked with all development and technical operations. This includes endorsing and implementing technical partnerships and collaborative projects. (Head: Abdulrafay Siddiqui)
Committee Membership Requirements and Appointment Process For an individual to be considered for committee membership, they must: • Possess xTRAX tokens. • Stake any amount on the Contrax platform. • Agree to earn xTRAX tokens on the Contrax platform.
The appointment process for new members is as follows:
Governance and Structure • The committee heads collectively form the Contrax Board of Directors. • The size of each committee is at the discretion of its head. • Committee heads may be removed via an internal committee vote of no confidence, subject to appeal to the broader DAO membership. • Committees and their heads will remain in their appointments until the transition from xTRAX to TRAX tokens, at which point the DAO may revise these guidelines including term limits and election procedures.
