As you know it, we have various clients that are coming from Polygon grants. In the last months, 14 Polygon projects have been completed, and 15 are being processed (total value: about $170k).
Fugu initiated the contact and closed the deal with Polygon grants. He spent lot of time and energy in it, but was not compensated for the work he produced. That includes:
As a reminder, Sales used to be paid 10% of the total budget (minus DAO fees) in normal bundles. Fugu did not introduce "sales fees" in this Polygon budget because it would have reduced too much the available budget to actually produce content. But doing the same maths would lead to a $10,8k bonus: (170k revenu - 17k DAO fee)*10% = 15,3k This is just for the sales. It does not include all the weekly work done by Fugu.
I think it would be fair to compensate Fugu for all the work previously done. When I asked him if he was compensated for that work (and realised he was not) he told me he would not ask the normal amount but would appreciate a 2-3k reward for all the past work + sales.
As this proposal applies to former work, the compensation amount would be taken from the DAO treasury. The DAO has more than the necessary funds so it would not be a problem.
I invite you to vote for the compensation you think fair, keeping in mind how strategic this deal was for the DAO in a bear market. $0: refused $1k: lower than asked $2k: low level asked $3k: high level asked $4k: more than asked
We will consider the average of the votes as the compensation that will be sent to Fugu (a%*0 + b%*1 + c%*2 + d%*3 + e%*4)/(a+b+c+d+e)
Note: The Project Manager will work separetely on an organization for the future Polygon projects to see how the work of Fugu can be compensated in a sustainable way, without needing any future vote for additional compensation.
