This vote is brought to the community to determine the direction we take with royalties. Although this decision would not typically require a vote since it doesn’t involve the community funds, we have 4 options to propose to see what the majority would prefer. Until recently, we were paying BNB to holders for their loyalty to the project. However, we noticed many of these payments were untouched and being wasted, as well as the amounts getting smaller to the point that they were negligible. We want to make this amount more worthwhile.
Each week, we would use a random number generator to select a number between 0 and 9999 (CryptoHippo Token Numbers). We would then make a payment equal to 7 days worth of royalties to the wallet owner, providing they have not listed or sold the hippo in the past 30 days. A new winner would be picked every 7 days, however the token must not be sold within the previous 30 days to be eligible.
By far the easiest method for us to maintain, this option would simply be sending the funds to the community wallet. We could then use those funds to grow out our ventures and further grow the wallet, ideally resulting in larger payments being able to go to holders down the line.
With this option, we would keep the method that was in place before, however, we would make less hippos eligible. This will require extra work to set up. The exact criteria has not been determined yet since we don’t know if this is what the community would prefer, but would likely involve some or all of the following and possibly more:
The amount would be sent to the community wallet, and used to purchase any floor hippos. This would be done periodically rather than all at once to prevent people looking to take advantage of the sweep.
