The DAO wants to purchase a Shrine.
The new forge interface will use this DAO owned Shrine as the default shrine selection.
This enables new or casual users to ignore the step of selecting a shrine.
The DAO needs to decide on these details:
- How do we acquire 42 Karma Crystals?
- What do we do with the 10,000 $CANDLE that should be spent on the Shrine?
- What Fee do we set?
These will be split into three simultaneous proposals.
2. What do we do with the 10,000 $CANDLE that should be spent on the Shrine?
- NOTE: Shrines cost 10,000 $CANDLE and that $CANDLE goes to the DAO. This means that the $CANDLE the DAO spends on the Shrine will be returned to the DAO.
Option 1: Keep it in the Treasury.
- Pros: DAO maintains a larger share of the circulating $CANDLE supply.
- Cons: Undermines the $CANDLE paid by existing Shrine Owners.
Option 2: Burn it.
- Pros: fire emojis
- Cons: Doesn't add any actual value to the ecosystem.
Option 3: Distribute it to existing Shrine Owners.
- Pros: 11 Shrine Owners will receive 909 $CANDLE each, subsidizing the 10,000 $CANDLE they each spent on their own shrine.
- Cons: Giving ~$500 away of a token with $7k liquidity can have a big price impact.
Option 4: Burn it but allocate the $CANDLE to Shrine Owners' airdrop allocation.
- Pros: Same pros as option 3
- Cons: simply delaying the cons of Option 3 until we migrate to Sonic.
If you do not like any of these options please select Option 5.
