Executable EGP 30 - Renewal of Karma Everclear Delegate Dashboard

Abstract

Karma has successfully developed and maintained the Everclear Delegate Dashboard 7 over the past year, providing tokenholders with a seamless way to explore and choose delegates, monitor their DAO involvement, and delegate voting power across multiple networks supporting NEXT and CLEAR tokens.

This proposal seeks the renewal of our dashboard service to ensure continued maintenance, enhance functionality, and introduce new features that further benefit the Everclear community.

Motivation and Rationale

The Everclear Delegate Dashboard plays a crucial role in the DAO ecosystem by empowering tokenholders to discover and assign voting power to delegates effectively. Over the past year, Karma has demonstrated unwavering commitment to maintaining and improving this tool, ensuring it remains a valuable resource for all users.

Moving forward, we aim to expand the dashboard's capabilities, introduce more advanced reporting features, and integrate new technologies that enhance delegate transparency and engagement.

Specifications

All core delegate dashboard features remain as outlined in our original proposal, which can be referenced here.

In addition to maintaining the dashboard, we have successfully implemented several key enhancements over the past year:

1. Enhanced Infrastructure -- We significantly upgraded the dashboard's infrastructure, particularly to support Everclear's multi-network setup across five different chains.
2. Rapid Issue Resolution -- We have consistently addressed issues within a timeframe ranging from a few hours to, at most, a few days---never exceeding one week.
3. Seamless Rebranding -- Following Everclear's transition from Connext, we completed all required rebranding work within 48 hours of notification, ensuring uninterrupted service.
4. Link Github account - Delegates can link their github handles to their account similar to forum handles. We plan to display github activity in the near future.
5. Expanded Token Support -- We successfully added delegation functionality for both NEXT and CLEAR tokens, a complex integration that we completed within one week.
6. veCLEAR Token Integration -- We have fully implemented support for veCLEAR delegation and are currently awaiting approval from the Everclear core team to take it live.

Future Roadmap

Looking ahead, we plan to introduce the following enhancements:

1. Advanced Reporting & Analytics -- We will develop in-depth reporting features to track delegation behaviors, voting power trends, and other key insights based on community needs (by end of Q1)
2. AI-Powered DAO Insights -- We recently launched an AI tool that enables users to interact with DAO forums and quickly understand DAO activities. If there is interest, we will index the Everclear forum to make this tool available to DAO members at no cost.
3. Delegate Incentive System -- We have developed a Delegate Incentive feature, designed to enable the DAO to implement a structured and transparent compensation mechanism for active delegates. This system can help incentivize meaningful participation, ensuring delegates remain engaged and accountable. If the DAO chooses to activate this feature, it will be available as an optional add-on with additional charges, tailored to meet the specific needs of the community.

Ongoing maintenance and feature updates will continue throughout 2025, with new reporting features expected to roll out in the next few months.

Funding Request

To support the continued maintenance and development of the Everclear Delegate Dashboard, we request $25,000 for 2025.

This represents a $5,000 increase from last year to account for the additional work performed, including rebranding efforts and expanded token support, and to help fund the development of more robust reporting capabilities.
