Abstract
The aim of this proposal is to establish a consensus regarding the phases of proposal, more specifically:
Motivation & Rationale
There are different opinions on whether the temperature check phase is necessary. It is critical to agree on the phases of proposal and appropriate duration to ensure the progression of the DAO and its decision-making process.
Specification:
Building on community feedback, the following durations have been proposed for the RFC and Formal Vote phases:
Request for Comments (RFC): Duration: 7 days
Formal Vote: 2-day delay prior to the vote 7-day voting period 3-day delay prior to execution (for executable proposals) Total duration: 12 days
The central question for this proposal is whether to include the "temperature check" phase in the decision-making process.
Voting Options:
Option 1 - For temp check & Agree If you agree with the proposed duration of RFC and Formal Vote; and believe a 5 day "temperature check" phase is necessary and should remain part of the process, please vote for Option 1.
Option 2 - Against temp check & Agree If you agree with the proposed duration of RFC and Formal Vote; and believe the 5 day "temperature check" phase is unnecessary and should be removed from the process, please vote Option 2.
Option 3 - Disagree with durations If you disagree with the proposed duration of RFC and Formal Vote, please vote for Option 3. This will revert the discussion back to RFC stage.
Timeline:
Once the vote is completed appropriate changes will be made in the DAO Documents within a 48 hours period when the new process becomes effective.
