The current RFC seeks a 6-month renewal of the Governance Task Force, requesting the equivalent to 18,000 USD in ETH for the set period, representing a 40% reduction in compensations given the current market and protocol conditions.
Over the past ~1.5 years, the GTF has been in charge of managing DAO operations over three consecutive terms. Managing daily operations such as running the Treasury, ensuring financial reporting, leading the governance agenda, communications and delegates community has been a part of the core mandate of this team.
Our 2025 activity included:
Nonetheless, current market and protocol conditions have taken the DAO away from what we’d like to be: growing and thriving. We are naturally not immune to the cycle that we’re are in and that has impacted so many teams in the ecosystem. In that sense, our commitment is to keep up the impact but minimize the cost.
While we explore alternatives alongside Foundation, we are proposing to run DAO operations for a 6 month period, making our best to contribute to Everclear’s growth in all fronts. To that end, we won’t be adding to CLEARs sell pressure but source compesations from idle ETH from the vbCLEAR (2.4) and the Treasury wallets (5.75).
Among our agenda for the upcoming months, we still have the operational responsability of executing SP payments and ESC member compensations, mantaining our financial reporting, perform remaining clawbacks and consolidating the MSS balances and monitor the execution of proposals such as the Amarok Technical Upgrade Proposal and the new Delegates Dashboard.
Of course, we’ll also push for the execution of the Redelegation Strategy and the following Constitutional vote, something we are aware that has been pending for a while given other more pressing priorities, but that we are convinced it is fundamental for Everclear’s future.
As mentioned, the request is of 18,000 USD for a 6 month period, sourced in ETH from the set wallets in order not to drive CLEAR sell pressure which, as you can see in the Multisig Tracksheet, it has fluctuated but overall increased overtime given than more CLEAR was required to front the compensations.
