Hello DEUS community,
After much back and forth over the last few weeks with a lot of different people, I came to the conclusion that we should put this up for vote.
The current v2 (synchronizer + dsynths current versions) Use the DEUS and DEI tokens as counterparties. Many projects rely on this as they have no other solution, but we have the solution its being discussed in the whitepaper and is already being implemented. V3 will privatize the counterparty risk and is the only long term solution.
We just need to implement it. This proposal asks if we should stop developing and bug fixing v2 and focus only on the long-term solution v3 (what is described in the whitepaper and is currently being built)
We’ve had a few discussions about the benefits of v3 with the community and why everyone should just stop thinking about v2(synchronizer contracts), the question is why do we still keep this system alive?
So the proposal is about the following:
Stop using development resources to keep a system alive that won't be sustainable.
Shut v2 down and focus all of our efforts on v3? (This ultimately means v3 can be developed much faster, and DEUS or DEI are no counterparty in the meantime from now on.)
