To go along with the recently passed adjustment to the poker leaderboard (cap prize based on user poker score) the goal of this proposal is to adjust the casino leaderboard (and other promotional rewards and prizes) with the intent to save funds for the DAO while still promoting gameplay and engagement.
Immediately switch Casino leaderboard prizes into Bonus drops instead of balance drops. The expected savings from this alone bring this monthly spend from ~8k USD to an average range of $2k-$3k USD.
Any future casino competitions, or other similar promotions and events, should also use Bonus drops unless a new proposal is submitted for that promotion.
No change to Wearable or Arcade rewards at this time.
Currently the largest promotional expense is the Casino Leaderboard. Instead of eliminating it completely, bonus drops continue to reward players without being a direct expense on the Casino. It also promotes users to continue to play in attempts to meet play through requirements.
Use this same logic with any future casino competitions or other promotional events. (unless a proposal is submitted proposing an alternate reward structure)
While wearables are a cost for the DAO, wearable holders have consistently and continuously participated in the BAG ecosystem. From March 1 to May 15, wearable holders accounted for ~22.5k USD in deposits to bag.win - given this data I believe we should continue wearable rewards as-is while looking to continue trimming costs in other areas.
Wearable holders make up a majority of Arcade gameplay. Arcade leaderboards are fairly inexpensive ( <1k USD/ mo) and the player liquidity from Arcade combines with the bag.win SNGs, giving new and current casino users a better experience if they choose to play SNGs on bag.win.
