Governance Chat

Governance Chat is slip into 100xdg 100k xdg 1M xdg

Right now there is a bot that reads how much xdg a certain wallet has, and those gives your discord account the permissions. This is the same bot that gives people the crown or other related "icons" next to your name.

Well, problem is, this does not reflect someone voting power. People have xdg in more than one wallet (example a ledger) and might have their nfts in another wallet. This means that some people, who use their playing/nft holding wallet as their main wallet, will not have access to other channels.

While this makes sense to have a system check, and be automatic, we are talking about people who have invested into the project. The same way some admins might spend time giving 100ice to someone who got a bug, makes sense that some manual reviews are done for access to this government channels.

Proposal: for the 100k and 1M, there is a manually added role that will allow an user to access those channels (in discord you can have the automated role, and also a manual role where admins can add them to an user). This would allow those holders to participate in their corresponding channels.

The way this would be done, is once per month or once every 3 months (team can pick), there is a proposal that is created with 2 options: 100k and 1M. Anyone with those voted, would pick the option they want and comment their discord username. They would then open a ticket. Team would see, check and confirm that certain account has enough votes, and delegate to them the corresponding role, enabling them to participate in the chats.

Furthermore, this also enables people to delegate their voting power to a certain person they trust, for both voting, and also to give them "a voice" in those channels.

Conclusion: This is not a drastic change nor nothing, but it also shows some personal service and care towards users who are invested in the project. And if the objective of having different channels is to have a distinction between voting power, and in a way to rewards those who accumulate xDG, it therefore makes sense that the team/admins, have just a little but more work to manually add those users to their corresponding channel.
