Background:
Months ago, a proposal was passed to change the hard challenge to “winning X hands”. The amount of wins needed is determined by the lowest rank wearable that a player checks in with.
Considering the current value of $ICE and player landscape, I propose to reduce the required amount of hands needed to appeal to more casual players and improve user retention.
Proposal:
The currently hard challenge is modeled as X hands won;
Rank 1 wearable: 18 hands Rank 2 wearable: 16 hands Rank 3 wearable: 14 hands Rank 4 wearable: 12 hands Rank 5 wearable : 10 hands
I propose we change this to;
Rank 1 wearable: 12 hands Rank 2 wearable: 11 hands Rank 3 wearable: 10 hands Rank 4 wearable: 9 hands Rank 5 wearable: 8 hands
I also propose to reduce the medium “2 pair” challenge to 4 (currently 5).
Rational:
This proposal welcomes in more casual poker players and improves new player and owner retention.
Lowering the required amount of wins needed gives an opportunity to new players and owners who have trouble finding a delegate or who may not be able to spend as much time playing, especially with a lower rank item.
This also results in grinding being more of an option to increase $ICE earning potential (leaderboard score) instead of being a requirement to complete the challenges all together. Reducing this challenge also gives players more time to play in SNG modes.
