At present, daily ICE emissions are more than four times greater than when ICE Poker was first introduced. Despite this significant increase in ICE emissions the price of wearable activations has stayed constant, apart from the conversion from DG to ICE that changed the currency but effectively kept the dollar cost unchanged at the time of implementation.
I. Have a one time increase in the wearable activation fee to 2700 ICE, which is an 8 percent increase from the current price of 2500 ICE. II. Introduce a price adjustment mechanism for the wearable activation fee. The adjustment mechanism (i) has a minimum ICE activation fee of 2700, and (ii) corrects the ICE activation fee by 20 percent of the monthly percent change in ICE emissions. For example, if the monthly percent change in ICE emissions is +10 percent, then the wearable activation fee will increase by 2 percent (0.10 × 0.20); and alternatively, if the monthly percent change in ICE emissions is -5 percent, then the wearable activation fee will decrease by 1 percent (0.05 × 0.20) if this leaves the fee above the 2700 min, or decreases to 2700 otherwise.
ICE emissions are expected to grow as the ecosystem introduces Flex wearables and later additional metaverse wearables. The price adjustment mechanism for wearable activation fees will automatically account for new wearables within the ecosystem, whether players opt to stack wearables or not, and safeguard activation fee revenue during ecosystem downturns. Moreover, it will further support the SNG and other ICE sinks as more players find value in joining the ecosystem.
