XRP is one of the oldest digital assets and was created by early Bitcoin developers. The XRP Ledger has been running smoothly for over a decade. The technology is renowned for its low-cost and energy-efficient transactions and high transactions/second capabilities.

XRP is at the heart of many of the discussions about using the best of blockchain technology to help the existing financial system. For example, cross-border payments, with an addressable market in the trillions, currently charge on average 7% txn cost and take days to clear; the XRP ledger can facilitate such swaps in seconds and for thousandths of a cent. The technology can also be used for payments, derivatives, stocks, NFTs, and really, anything else people dream up, as the ledger is permissionless -- anyone can issue assets on it.

I propose we buy 1 XRP per Yeti (6946)

At current cost of writing as ~38 cents, this costs around $2640.

We currently have around 7K just sitting doing nothing in USD. This gives us money to invest in other aspects of the project while placing a bet that may pay off in the long term.

Finally, Ripple, a company that uses XRP, is engaged in a legal battle with the SEC that has large implications for the future of crypto. They seem to be doing well in the case and have even received an Amicus brief from Coinbase. A positive outcome in the case may present upwards price action for XRP. The legal malaise may scare off some investors, but perhaps not the degens of the yeti club (be greedy when others are fearful!)

As Ripple's swell event is happening this week, with potential to move the price with big announcements, I have set the vote for 31 hours in order to maximize this buying opportunity.
