The $DEXTF token was launched in September 2020 to power the Domani Protocol Dapp on Ethereum and subsequently bridged to the Avalanche chain using a third party provider service. Users were able to bridge $DEXTF on Ethereum to Avalanche and viceversa using the Multichain (formerly Anyswap) bridge. Since July 2023, the Multichain service stopped being operational. The Multichain team created and own the smart contracts of the bridge, and they are in control of the tokens locked in the Ethereum's contract (0x820A9eb227BF770A9dd28829380d53B76eAf1209). There are approximately 3.5m $DEXTF tokens bridged on Avalanche and as of today any attempts to contact the Multichain team have failed and the Domani team has no update on when/if this service will be restored. These tokens, while available on Avalanche and still tradeable (contract 0x03E8D118A1864c7Dc53bf91e007ab7D91f5A06fA), are not retrievable on Ethereum by the Domani team and could be lost forever. As such, any action to swap the tokens manually would be done using tokens yet to be distributed that belong to the community allocation (Ethereum Multisign 0x45B067e594c93A829c950CecCF1F75FBFD9603b6).
We would like to put a proposal forward for discussion and voting to the community.
Option A: No action. Leave the tokens on Avalanche and wait for a possible resolution by the Multichain team.
Option B: Swap the $DEXTF tokens from Avalanche to Ethereum with a 50% haircut. For the avoidance of doubt this means that a user will get 1 token on Ethereum for every 2 tokens on Avalanche.
Option C: Swap the $DEXTF tokens from Avalanche to Ethereum with a 1-to-1 ratio. For the avoidance of doubt this means that a user will get 1 token on Ethereum for every 1 token on Avalanche. For addresses swapping 10,000 $DEXTF or more, the tokens will be linearly vested for 6 months on Sablier. Addresses swapping less than 10,000 $DEXTF will receive an airdrop after 6 months.
Notes about options B and C:
The winning option must have 10% more votes than the 2nd most voted option, otherwise a new vote between the 1st and 2nd options will be required (3rd option will be discarded).
The Proposal will be open for voting from 21th October 2023 12pm UTC to 26th October 2023 12pm UTC.
