UIP005 - Sunsetting UTS emissions on Conflux

Summary:

This UIP proposes to sunset UTS emissions for all lending and borrowing activities on Unitus within the Conflux network.

Abstract:

Unitus was rebranded from dForce Lending, and subsequently launched UTS emissions on the Conflux network since November 2023.

When / if approved by the Unitus community, UTS emissions will be terminated on the Conflux network

Motivation:

Unitus DAO performs regular evaluations of all assets and networks we support, aiming to mitigate potential risks as well as improve the overall performance of the protocol.

It also includes assessments of UTS liquidity mining efficiency, with the goal of allocating resources more effectively. We aim to better incentivize lending and borrowing activities with the highest volume, thereby optimizing the platform's overall performance and sustainability.

This strategic consideration is expected to create a more efficient and rewarding environment for all users, driving growth and stability in the long term.
