UIP004 - Deploy Unitus on Base

Summary:

We are submitting this proposal to the community for the deployment of Unitus Finance on the Base network. This proposal also includes activating UTS incentives on the Base network.

Abstract:

The approval of this approval will lead the deployment of Unitus, along with UTS emissions towards BLP, as well as other liquidity mining initiatives on the Base network.

Motivation:

Base is an open-source, developer-friendly L2 EVM blockchain, built on the MIT-licensed OP Stack. Base is being incubated inside of Coinbase and will serve as both a home for Coinbase’s onchain products and an open ecosystem for permissionless development. Coinbase has partnered with Optimism throughout the inception and launching of Base to help realize the Optimism superchain vision.

By deploying Unitus on the Base network, it allows Unitus to leverage Coinbase integrations, fiat onramps, and gain an immediate access to 110mm+ users and $80B+ assets in the Coinbase ecosystem.

Additionally, the Base network showcases a diverse DeFi ecosystem, boasting many influential DApps such as Aerodrome, Uniswap, Balancer, Beefy, and more. These DApps are sure to offer the Unitus numerous integration and strategic partnership opportunities.
