CAR #042: Sushiswap | Source
In this 42nd Community Approval Request (CAR), the DIA DAO community will be voting to validate Sushi Swap as a data source for the DIA Platform. DIA’s direct integration into centralised and decentralised marketplaces such as Sushi Swap enables a broad and highly granular and customizable data and oracle offering for dApps.
Sushi Swap is an example of an automated market maker (AMM). An increasingly popular tool among cryptocurrency users, AMMs are decentralized exchanges which use smart contracts to create markets for any given pair of tokens. Sushi Swap launched in September 2020 as a fork of Uniswap, the AMM which has become synonymous with the decentralized finance movement and associated trading boom in DeFi tokens.
