[Express Final] Should We Burn Pirate Supply?

Voting ended about 4 years agoSucceeded
Proposal by AlabasterJefferson#6585 / AlabasterJefferson.eth

Note

This is an express proposal that is rushed to final due to timeliness. There was a majority vote in the pre-proposal to make this happen.

The question this proposal addresses is: Should we burn or limit pirate supply and, if so, how?

What is going on?

Pirates were created as an expansion of our Play to Earn Idle game. The reward for staking pirates is gathering a random amount of eggs a day and moving eggs from inactive wallets to active wallet holders who want eggs now.

The pirate release also came with an airdrop-esque mechanic where Dino Egg holders could exchange Eggs for pirates.

After public mint started it has been seen in our discord channels that some members want to do something about the supply of Pirates vs the current demand that exists.

Dino Eggs will always be this group's fuel

The value of Eggs represents governance stake in the DAO and will continue to be our major fuel for all things Dino Babies in Space.

What you are voting on

Our options are the following by reveal date:

  • Burn the mint-with-eth allocation of ~4,500 pirates and close the mint-with-eth function. Mint-with-eggs will stay open as a reward for continually playing the egg game.
  • Burn the mint-with-eth and the mint-with-egg supply and close all minting.
  • Stop the mint-with-eth function and put the remaining allocation into mint-with-egg supply. New supply of egg mint will be 6,000
  • Do nothing

Any option needs above 18% Quorum and to be greater than Reject option to pass approval on Final Vote.
