This group proposal addresses three different cosmetic concerns about Ziggy metadata. All three are independent and have different reasons for pushing forward. But, because all three can be accomplished at once, I have grouped them into a 3-part proposal that we can vote on as a whole.
A few meta-data concerns came up over the last few weeks during talks with a production company and multiple agencies. While the NFT project is a separate business entity from the Animated Series and Studio, there is a slight risk that executives unfamiliar with NFT’s will not draw the stark distinction. Meaning all actions the NFT project take will reflect back on the show.
It was suggested we change two pieces of meta-data to avoid any hurdles in selling the Dino Babies in Space animated series:
Our counsel agrees that these are not legal risks at this time since the NFT is not the show, but does agree that they would be difficult conversations to have.
Because we are already changing the Meta-data provenance this change can take place at the same time.
Some concerned holders brought up an issue that some rarity tools have with the word none. "None" flaws some tools' calculation as they assume it is a missing trait, giving the most common Ziggy distributions higher rarity calculations. Our partner Rarity Sniper does not do this, which causes effectively two different rarity calculations when looking across all possible rarity evaluation tools.
It is suggested that we can change none to two different names:
That way, there is no conflicting rarity ranking between Rarity Sniper and other smaller tools.
We would like to adjust the background image of space-deck which was uploaded originally as a duplicate of Bulkhead. Space-Deck is supposed to show the main cabin of Uncle Pterry.
All three of these meta-data changes will not impact rarity at all as they just change the names or ipfs image associated. The distribution of rarity will maintain consistency and every token number will maintain its distribution score. This upload can be done in one change with our engineering team and would take less than a day to implement. There will only be one provenance hash change.
Knocking out all three of these in one swoop would address both show pitch hurdles we may have to overcome and also address small concerns about our meta-data in the greater NFT ecosystem. Both of those worlds are very important to raising funds within the DAO.
This proposal requires a multi-choice approval. The voter gets to approve each option individually in a multi-select of all options.
Any option needs above 18% Quorum and to be greater than Reject option to pass approval on Final Vote.
