Discourse: https://forum.doodles.app/t/doodles-animation-series-v2-budget-for-a-producer-producing-storyboards-setup-of-writers-room/338

Rationale: Lore writing and storyboard pitches are 2 important first steps towards an animated series on YouTube. YouTube is a stepping stone to something more ambitious. A professional producer will be hired to work with experienced doodlers and the community to craft the storyboard pitches. These pitches can then be used to test with the community and audiences, setting the direction the animation should take.

Timeline: December 2021 to End-February 2022

To-dos:

  1. Setup writers room on Discord, lore thread on Doodlebank.
  2. Hire a producer. Producer will hire talent required to produce storyboards.
  3. Identify experienced doodlers to be part of the inaugural 'Skelly Crew,' leading the community-sourcing effort for lore.
  4. Produce 2 to 3 storyboard pitches within 10 weeks of hiring the producer
  5. Complete audience testing.

Primary goal: Audience testing and community validation to arrive at a direction for producing an animated series on YouTube.

Secondary goal: Validate and refine community-driven creative processes.
