DIP-83 Dojo Holiday Game Jam

Dojo have announced the Holiday Game Jam and have invited DopeWars to sponsor the event. We have been invited to sponsor by creating our own Bounty Tracks and contributing to the General Prize Pool. In return for General Sponsorship we would be recognised via Dojo Game Jam promotions including Twitter, work-shop co-host, logo placement and a Bio on the Game Jam page. Bounty Tracks will also be promoted, but more importantly will have benefits discussed below.

As a background for those Hustlers not familiar, Dojo is an Open-Source toolchain to build on-chain games leveraging the StarkNet stack. Amongst chief contributors toward this effort have been our friends from the Cartridge crew (DopeWars OG’s). The Dojo project has been gaining a lot of momentum recently and getting into the spotlight for all the right reasons.

Dojo have run Game Jams in the past that have had up to 150 Developers sign up. This upcoming Game Jam is a larger two-week holiday Game Jam (Dec 15-Jan 2).

The DopeLabs team feel this is a great opportunity to attract Developers to the DopeWars ecosystem, help fuel growth and build Mods for DopeWorld the Autonomous World on StarkNet. Generally the idea will be; offer awareness to the Developers about the DopeWars universe, show them the primitives (the seeds of DopeWorld), have a prepared list of possible dope game ideas and then offer bounty for the coolest MOD(s) with the most potential.

Included in the Bounty Track (or Bounties - the exact compilation is yet to be determined) will be DOPE(s), so that winners can become part of the DAO. Also, an invitation to meet with the DopeLabs Crew to help create proposals to make, or further enhance, Mods for DopeWorld. We have stepped off well with Cartridge Seeding DopeWorld and building RYO. We see this as a pathway to keep development roaring and capitalize on the excitement we are creating. The method by which to judge the winners will be established in the months ahead - DopeLabs will seek input from the community and come up with a way that gets the best possible outcome.

This proposal seeks to authorise 15M $Paper to be used to support this initiative. We already have 4 DOPEs earmarked in the current Marketing Multi-Sig Wallet that we propose to utilise as mentioned above.

The $Paper will be released to the DopeWars Marketing MultiSig.
