This proposal seeks to establish a development fund managed by a multisig for the purpose of engaging with external development resources and reimbursing costs (tools, hosting, etc). Additionally, included in the proposal is a DAO first hire.
We would like to increase development velocity by increasing DAO spend on development. Currently, there is a lot of overhead in allocating DAO resources for development. In order to disburse funds, an onchain proposal and vote is necessary, which is both expensive and slow.
This initial proposal is for a 5eth allocation to fund these activities for 2 months to pilot the arrangement, to be renewed through a future vote if desired. The funds will be managed by a 2-of-5 multisig previously used for treasury management before the migration to onchain governance (configuration detailed below).
The initial allocation will be exclusively used to fund development efforts. This includes reimbursement for development + productivity tooling costs such as vercel, github, notion, fauna, etc. Disbursement approvals will be done according to the following:
0-$500: Only multisig approval necessary
$500+ & New Hires: Three day snapshot vote approval necessary
