Overview
After completing the deliveries in DIP-79 and conducting the early testing phase, we received extensive feedback and additional feature enhancement requests via Discord and the Mean Streets Service Portal. We have gathered and filtered this feedback to identify what can be addressed in time for the public release and the Coin Telegraph Article feature. This proposal outlines the technical and graphical enhancements designed to address current player feedback, optimize performance, and enhance user engagement, ensuring the game is in its best shape before the public release.
Scope of Work
2.1. Graphical Enhancements Character Animation Outlines: Integrate black outlines into all character animation sprite sheets to harmonize with the provided outlined map elements, ensuring a unified visual style throughout the game. Redesign the character selection avatars to include black outlines.
Crosshair Aiming Aid Graphics Enhance shooting accuracy. Design crosshair styles to accommodate different weapons and gameplay styles. Ensure that the crosshair designs align with the overall aesthetic and thematic elements of the game.
Weapon Holding Postures Ensure accurate representation of weapon handling. Redesign weapon holding animations for a range of weapon types. Ensure precise hand orientation that aligns with the mouse cursor movement.
2.2. Technical Enhancements: (Implement for WebGL and PC) Map Resizing Decreasing the size of the map reduces downtime and encourages more frequent encounters between players, resulting in faster-paced and more intense gameplay sessions. Divide the current map into three distinct mini-maps, each with its own unique theme
Respawn Spot Adjustment Ensure strategic, fair, and balanced gameplay. Adjust the respawn spots in accordance with the layout and features of the new smaller maps. Ensure that respawn points are strategically placed to provide fair and balanced respawn opportunities for players across all maps and all modes. Crosshair Aiming Aid Enhance shooting accuracy. Develop a crosshair enhancement feature that adjusts based on weapon type and player movement.
On-hover Effect for Buttons Enhance user interface interactivity and visual feedback. Design and implement dynamic on-hover effects for UI buttons, such as scaling up on hover and scaling down when deselected, complemented by a glow effect to visually indicate interactivity.
Step-by-Step Interactive Gameplay Guide Improve new player onboarding by providing a clear, interactive guide to game mechanics. Develop an interactive step-by-step guide that introduces game UI elements and mechanics one at a time, enhancing user understanding and engagement.
Full-Screen Launch Option Improve first impressions and enhance user engagement by launching the game in full-screen mode by default. Configure the Unity settings to enable the game to launch directly in full-screen mode for the WebGL platform.
Implement Automatic Transaction Gas Estimation Minimize risk of transaction failures during peak times. Develop a system to calculate and suggest gas fees based on current network conditions.
Automated Build and Deployment System Implement a fully automated build and deployment system using Unity Cloud’s auto-build feature to streamline updates and eliminate manual build times.
Animation Adjustments Implement the newly updated hustler character postures to reflect more dynamic and realistic movements: Apply outlines on all in-game hustler characters to sync with the default map design, adjust arm movement while holding weapons Adjust timing and reactions of characters when hit by vehicles or gunfire to eliminate noticeable delays.
Deliverables
Fully integrated and operational game builds for WebGL and PC, incorporating all the specified technical and graphical enhancements. Deployment of full-screen launch functionality, advanced respawn systems, on-hover UI effects, automatic gas estimation, crosshair aiming aid, and step-by-step interactive gameplay guides. Updated character animations and weapon postures with added black outlines, aligned with the new aesthetic requirements.
Acceptance
All technical enhancements such as the full-screen launch option, advanced respawn systems, on-hover effects, automatic gas estimation, and crosshair aiming aid are implemented according to the specifications. Unity Build Automation is fully set up and operational, significantly reducing manual build times as detailed. All character animations and weapon postures are redesigned and implemented with the required black outlines. The character selection screen avatars are updated and consistent with the game’s graphical style. Enhanced game builds must demonstrate improved gameplay fluidity, reduced downtime, and increased player encounters due to map resizing. The game must exhibit enhanced shooting accuracy as a result of the crosshair aiming aid. The automated gas estimation system functions reliably across different network conditions without failure.

5.2. Funding Amount & Timeline UnixLabs is seeking a total of $15,426 in $OP token funding to cover: Human resources for Unity development, Backend and Blockchain Side Development, UIUX Design, Graphics, Quality Assurance and Product Management. Services used to facilitate the project as mentioned in 3.1. We are looking at an implementation timeline of approximately 8 weeks for completing all the enhancements outlined in the proposal.
HPMNK will be the Graphic Supervisor who gives feedback to our artwork as mentioned in the above scope. For this role, he will get 5,000 USD worth of $OP tokens.
5.3. Collaboration General Art Workflow Between Unix and HP: Artwork is sent for review via shared drive or email. HP (the reviewer) examines the artwork and provides feedback in written, audio, or video format. If the feedback is unclear, a Zoom call is arranged for clarification.
