Dragon City District - Contributors agree to vote to choose between the Current Plan and Ownership Option

The main purpose of this proposal is to respond to some contributors’ requests to choose between the Ownership Option and the Current Plan for the Dragon City District. A draft of this proposal has been reviewed by the community and the final result will be implemented by the team.

Implementation of the proposal may take some time as we need to do plenty of work, i.e. relocating the private lands, public infrastructures, lands at the team’s disposal, and the land transfer registration. The land transfer will be activated after all work is appropriately done.

Options

1). Ownership Option:

This Ownership Option will allocate 40% of total LAND (the actual amount of LAND parcels allocated may reach 41%) to the valid addresses of contributors. The rest of the LAND parcels will be continually developed by the team under the governance of DragonDAO. To be specific:

• Addresses that did not claim DCT and that did not sell DCT after claim action shall receive LAND parcels in equal proportion to the amount of LAND contributed;
• Addresses holding DCT (including addresses that sold some DCT and that purchased DCT) shall receive LAND parcels based on the amount of DCT held / 1000*40%;

2). Current Plan:

Maintain the status quo without any subdivision of the Dragon City district. The team shall continue to develop the LAND parcels under the governance of DragonDAO.

Invalidation of DCT Tokens

Contributors understand and agree that after the LAND transfer and the launch of Dragon DAO, all the DCT tokens issued by the former leadership team (see the contract: etherscan: https://etherscan.io/token/0x79c4e3d3cd2f6418cb60a1eb777e281b2c8795e6) shall no longer have any function or play any role in the Dragon City District.

Team

Contributors understand and agree that the current Dragon City team is an independent team acting as the developing role in the Dragon City District, having no connection/relationship with the former leadership of Dragon City District in Decentraland. The current team is not responsible or liable for any decisions or activities made by any third party (including, without limitation, the former leadership of the District). Contributors shall indemnify, defend and hold harmless the district, the DAO, the development company, and their respective affiliates, leaders, officers, advisors, sponsors, volunteers, and employees from and against any and all claims, suits, losses, liabilities, causes of action, damages and costs (including reasonable attorney’s fees), or the settlement or avoidance thereof, made by any third party (including, without limitation, the former leadership of the District and the contributors).

Governance

Dragon DAO is a governance system to steward the development of Dragon City in Decentraland. Contributors understand and agree that the governance token of Dragon DAO has no economic value and any illegal financial applications are not endorsed by the Dragon City Team; it is a governance token used within the Dragon Metaverse. It has no claim on any financial rights.

Content Policy and Your Obligations

Dragon City District is not responsible or liable for the content uploaded and conducted in your LAND. Contributors by signing this proposal with their Ethereum wallet agree to use the LAND they will receive in compliance with the Decentraland “Content Policy” that is available here: https://decentraland.org/content/ Contributors also understand and agree that after the LAND transfer all the obligations the District Leadership and Team have to Contributors are fulfilled. There will be no further obligation or commitment.

Vote on Snapshot

You’re qualified to vote on the final proposal if you have a wallet address that meets one of the following criteria: 1). Contributed but did not claim any DCT tokens; or 2). You are still holding DCT tokens before the snapshot time on 2022/04/09 at 19:00 UTC+8. This is a majority vote. It means one of the options has to be voted by over 50% of the valid addresses of contributors.
