[DSLA-IP3] is a proposal to remove DSLA support for BNB Smart Chain (BSC) network. Maintaining support for BSC takes an outsized amount of Core Team resources due to significant and ongoing reliability issues with the BSC network.
These ongoing reliability issues limit any potential future expansion of DSLA functionality and make maintaining the current support a net negative for DSLA.
As such the recommendation is to deprecate support for BSC in the DSLA codebase and the dsla.network dApp.
Note: This proposal does not have any immediate bearing on the trading or availability of the DSLA utility token on the BSC network. There are no proposed changes regarding the availability of the DSLA utility token on BSC, liquidity currently supplied on Pancakeswap or bridge support.
Upkeep of support for BSC is a drain on limited Core Team resources that could better spend time and energy on other tasks. Overall, continuing to maintain BSC support is not a net positive and we therefore recommend deprecating support for the BSC network.
