For Spice DAO to deliver on its goal to increase the promotion and awareness of the book of collected storyboards of Jodorowsky’s Dune and support derivative works including the production of an original animated limited series inspired by the book, it needs to ensure its resources support a core team who can reliably and consistently perform key tasks.

Spice DAO has been fortunate to find 4 community members who have been involved prior to the November 21, 2021 Christie’s auction and taken responsibility for helping lead strategy, community and communications.

The core team of 4 wishes to continue their work with formalized roles and relative compensation. Their roles and responsibilities are listed below.

Elect The Following Community Members As Core Team

Charlie Fang – Strategy Lead & Treasurer Kortelin – Operations Lead Yojimbo_King – Marketing Lead Michael Dragovic – Community Manager

Strategy Lead & Treasurer

Charlie Fang has been a contributing member in crypto for over a decade and is currently serving as the leader of NFT art collective Remilia Collective. Charlie co-founded Spice DAO with Soby and Yojimbo_King and is a multisig signer. He was essential in the project’s conceptualization and launch.

Elect Charlie Fang as the leader to oversee daily operations of the DAO including:

• Crafting the vision and direction of Spice DAO
• Manage relationships with third-party contractors such as filmmakers Roble Ridge Productions; social media agency; book transport and storage company; devs minting the book as an NFT
• Onboard and oversee DAO contributors and volunteers
• Recruiting new DAO roles
• Implement Snapshot proposals that pass governance vote
• Manage relationships, communications and coordination with multisig signers
• Report monthly on Treasury expenses and balances

Compensation: 100.00 USDC/hr (not to exceed 12,000 USDC/month) Time Period: 3 Months (renewed on March 31st)

Operations Budget

As Treasurer, Charlie will have autonomy in using funds to cover monthly operational expenses such as core team compensation and third-party independent contractor invoices with a monthly discretionary budget of 50,000 USDC:

• Core team compensation = Maximum 31,665.60 USDC/month
• Third-party contractors such as IT, social media agency, book shipping and storage and software developers, and unforeseen incidentals = Maximum 18,334.40 USDC/month

Operations Lead

Kortelin has been contributing to the Ethereum ecosystem since February 2021 by brokering sales of blue-chip NFTs to high-net-worth collectors. They worked as Product Manager on StarChant and Project Manager of PegzDAO; consulted with POAP on their communications strategy and Raid Guild DAO on business development. DeFi trader, yield farmer and liquidity provider on DEXs. Bitcoin Class of 2013.

Elect Kortelin as the leader to oversee weekly operations of the DAO including:

• Review and develop community Discourse proposals into fully-realized projects
• Develop community content production and manage partnerships with NFT artists, collectors and Web3 protocols
• Formulate mission, guidelines and narrative for all DAO projects to preserve consistency of messaging
• Draft internal and external communications and lead DAO content creation and branding
• Ensure DAO operations follow best practices

Compensation: 100.00 USDC/hr (not to exceed 7,000 USDC/month) Time Period: 3 Months (renewed on March 31st)

Marketing Lead

Yojimbo_King is a long-time member of the crypto community and an early NFT adopter. He co-founded Spice DAO with Soby and Charlie Fang and is a multisig signer. He has been involved as a conceptual director and advisor for multiple NFT projects and has hosted NFT-focused events. Yojimbo_King will work on Spice DAO content and alongside Roble Ridge on the production of the original animated limited series.

Elect Yojimbo_King as the leader of Marketing and Alliances to oversee weekly relationships of the DAO including:

• Manage and build relationships with partners and sponsors
• Plan and manage logistics for in-person events
• Serve as press liaison
• Act as multisig coordinator

Compensation: 75.00 USDC/hr (not to exceed 6,000 USDC/month) Time Period: 3 Months (renewed on March 31st)

Community Manager

Michael Dragovic has been involved in the crypto community for over three years working as a Community Manager and social media marketer for the NFT project Milady Maker.

Elect Michael Dragovic as the Community Manager to oversee daily activity on Discord including:

• Keeping discourse productive, civil and engaging
• Administration of community tools and channels on Discord
• Schedule and manage community events
• Ensure moderators are familiar with the DAOs mission and values and educate them on how to engage with the community and respond to comments and requests
• Gather community feedback and relay to core team

Compensation: 41.66 USDC/hr (not to exceed 6,665.60 USDC/month) Time Period: 3 Months (renewed on March 31st)

Q1 Deliverables (🏜️,🏜️)

The core team will deliver the following achievements between January-March 2022:

1. Gain physical custody of Jodorowsky’s Dune book by arranging shipping and storage
2. Digitally scan each page of the book
3. Contract a social media agency to produce PR/marketing to disseminate our activities across all channels
4. Present a film treatment and budget by Roble Ridge Productions for the original animated limited series inspired by the book for a community vote on Snapshot
