QUOROM REQUIREMENT: 18,534
OVERVIEW Builders from the Echelon and Parallel communities are creating tools for community use. Information from current and future games should be accessible to the community to encourage further development. Creating a shared repository that indexes a standard set of information such as Project Whitepapers, APIs, Media Kits, etc should be made available. This proposal is a combined effort using these two drafts as source data: https://forum.echelon.io/t/2201-develop-a-public-api-for-community-building/22 https://forum.echelon.io/t/2203-one-source-of-parallel-digital-assets/42
APPROACH A simple cloud service such as Google Drive or Dropbox could be used or the info could be hosted on Echelon.io on a dedicated subdomain. Echelon may consider an application process if some information is sensitive. The database should launch with the following sections: Project Whitepapers, APIs, shot Data, and Media Kits. Project Whitepapers: -All editable docs that lay the foundation for each Echelon project should be provided within the database as a google doc or docx. APIs: -the Application Programming Interface should include general data on EADA such as total supply, circulating supply, supply remaining, owners, etc. -It should also detail each EADA's in-progress functions and any fields that will aid in discovering the EADA within the game context. In the case of Parallel:TCG it should include game functions, art, artist, energy cost, parallel, set release, attack & defense, keywords, etc. -Endpoints for cards, swaps, and game matches. Media Kit: -Include any Logos, Icons, Images, and fonts if applicable. -Include any project-related, faction-specific iconography. -Any specialized art that is representative of the project. -Standard file formats of SVG, JPEG, and PNG. So creators of all skill levels can have some fun.
RATIONALE Systematizing the collected data from all Echelon games will align projects and community builders. It also encourages future composability; transparency of data; expedites 3rd party development and ensures that project-specific data is verified and can be built upon.
TIMELINE As early as possible to spark development prior to the Parallel TCG game launch.
COSTS Estimated 2-3 weeks of a Devs time.
