Captain Laserhawk – Community Vote: Next Game Mode

Summary

The Captain Laserhawk team is launching its first governance vote! Players have submitted numerous game mode ideas, and now it's time to decide which mode should be developed next. The winning mode will be analyzed by the studio for feasibility and, if confirmed, prioritized for implementation within 3-6 months. ⚠️ If the selected mode is not feasible, the team will provide a detailed update and launch a follow-up vote with alternative options.

Proposal

The community has suggested multiple game modes, and the studio has shortlisted four options based on feasibility, player excitement, and potential impact on gameplay.

1. Shield Mode – Miss a shot, and you're eliminated.
2. Death Grenade Mode – Drop a grenade upon death to affect nearby players.
3. Kill Confirm Mode – Players must collect a dropped item from an eliminated opponent to confirm a kill.
4. Bullet-Sponge Mode – Players take multiple hits before elimination, adding a new layer of strategy.
5. None of the Above – We will conduct a new governance vote with alternative options.

Voting Process

• Voting starts: February 26th 2025 — 5pm UTC
• Voting ends: March 5th 2025 — 5pm UTC
• Eligibility: Niji Warrior ID Card holders can vote.

What Happens Next?

• Once the vote closes, the studio will review the winning mode to assess technical feasibility and balancing requirements.
• If the mode is confirmed, it will enter development with a 3-6 month roadmap.
• If the mode is not feasible, we will update the community and hold a new vote with revised options.
• If "None of the Above" wins, we will restart the vote with a new selection of game modes. This is just the beginning of governance in Captain Laserhawk—future votes will include battle pass rewards, store content, UGC integration, and more!
