We propose Push Protocol Notifications to be integrated with Element Finance’s Governance front. Decentralized notifications through Push Protocol establish a direct line of communication between Element Finance and users. Users will have the ability to receive notifications and take action right away. These notifications will inform users about new proposals up for voting, when voting periods are closing, and voting results.

Motivation

Making the best use of technologies at hand to enhance user experience is the essence of innovation in Web3. Many protocols and dApps currently rely on emails or social media tools like Twitter, Telegram, and Discord to communicate with their users.

By implementing Push decentralized notifications, a direct channel is created between Element Finance and users. Users will be able to receive notifications containing a summary of proposals up for voting and respond immediately to them.

All notifications can be delivered in rich media format with links and images, resulting in a more engaging user experience. Here are some of the use cases for which users of Element Finance will start receiving notifications:

• New Proposal made it to the voting phase
• 24 hour notice to cast your vote
• Voting results

It can also work for ad-hoc announcements, new feature launches, maintenance windows announcements, and many more updates.

Sending out notifications for Governance proposals will greatly help towards increasing participation in the Governance process, and making sure project stakeholders are informed at all times regarding decisions taken via Governance.

Specification / Proposal Details

1. Push team will take care of all integration & implementation activities with their team. Ensuring notifications are configured properly to cover the use cases described above.

2. Element Finance will create a Channel in Push Protocol to which users can opt-in to start receiving notifications.

3. Push team will assist as needed in adding the “Opt-in” functionality in Element.fi front-end to facilitate users subscribing to the channel to receive governance notifications.
